Have Lathe - Will Travel

Penelope Milner

Penny has worked as a committed artist since obtaining her BA in 1982. She is a member of the French pastel society and exhibits with them annually. She also frequently exhibits with The British Pastel Society. Please go to www.penelopemilner.net to see more of her work.

I am pleased to say that, along with two other artists, I will again be taking part in this excellent event. My workshop will be open every day between 10:00am and 5:00pm to allow visitors to see our work.

I will be demonstrating turning every day with the exception of Sunday the 14th when I will be running the sideshows at Weston Underwood village fete. This traditional fete is very popular and well worth a visit. Why not have a real day out and visit that as well as our open studio.

On that day, the workshop will be manned by at least one of the other artists, who will also be there at other times during the event.

I am keen to allow people to try woodturning and will have a couple of lathes set up to let visitors have a 'hands on' experience.  The basics are really not that hard, as shown by the range of people who have given it a try in past years.

Thanks to the efforts of the Have Lathe - Will Travel Catering Team ( Otherwise known as my wife) refreshments will be available throughout the event, including excellent home made cakes.
